Restaurant De Basiliek – The Hague

Basiliek Den Haag, The Hague, The Netherlands
Originally Restaurant De Basiliek was located near a church, the name basilica is an honorary title for churches, like the St. Peter’s Basilica in Rome. Today the restaurant is nicely located in a quiet side street just steps away from the busy square ‘Plein’. So you can find a little piece of Rome in city centre of The Hague.

In summer a table at the (open) window doors is preferable, with views over the cozy terrace and street. You’ll likely be wowed from the very beginning with beautifully displayed food.

We enjoyed a truly delicious dinner together with great wine pairings. The salmon bonbons were definitely the stand out dish of the night. So good! But also the steak was very well prepared. And the lemoncurd pie was absolutely yummy.

The stylish bar offers a well selected wine menu with bar snacks for those not actually dining. If you’re looking for a great dining experience in The Hague you must definitely try De Basiliek!
