On the island in the bay, which has a beach, you will find the central building in addition to the hotel apartments. “Werelds aan het Strand”, a delightful beach club, is the centre of Punt-West Beach Resort. This relaxing beach club has a great restaurant, bar, several multipurpose rooms and terraces. The club also has its own private beach with beautiful cabanas and lounge beds and a private harbour.
Various activities are organised through the beach club reception. For example, a selection of workshops and programmes can be booked, from yoga on the beach to a trip on a fishing boat to catch your own fish or mussels. The surrounding area offers a variety of hikes and bike rides. There are excursions in the De Punt nature preserve with its “Belevingsbos” forest, beautiful hiking trails, bodies of water, flowery meadows, a specially designed historic bunker route and a birdwatching blind. Not to mention the water sport options on the Grevelingenmeer. The biggest saltwater lake in Europe, it is separated from the North Sea by the Brouwersdamm, the link between South Holland and Zeeland. This has given rise to a unique landscape. There are unique flora and fauna, such as Fjord horses and Heck cattle. The oysters and lobsters that are caught in this area are world renowned for their high quality. You might even encounter seals and porpoises around the Brouwersdam. The towns of Middelburg and Goes, both just 30 minutes from the resort, are great destinations for anyone who likes shopping, restaurants and nice outdoor cafes. Culture lovers will be in their element in Goedereede with its variety of museums.
The charming centre of the beach town of Ouddorp is about 5 km away. Lovers of fresh seafood will enjoy the fish market at Ouddorp! Be sure to visit the De Schorre oyster farm and vineyard as well.
