These 8 places ara: Ehrwald, Lermoos, Berwang, Bichlbach, Biberwier, Heiterwang am See, Lähn-Wengle and Namlos. All situated in the sunny valley of the Tyrolean Zugspitz Arena.
The Wetterstein Mountains with the Zugspitze, the Mieminger Kette and the Lechtaler Alps form the impressive backdrop. So: seven varied ski areas as well as the very good infrastructure, an extensive network of trails and numerous offers for the whole family. Especially low-priced packages and toll-free travel via the motorways Munich – Garmisch-Partenkirchen or Ulm – Füssen make the Tyrolean Zugspitz Arena even more attractive.
Seven ski resorts
Small, familiar and state-of-the-art: The Zugspitz Arena in Tyrol is further expanding the infrastructure of the ski areas with a new gondola lift in the Lermoos ski area. Also the new Brentalm at the valley station of the Ehrwalder Almbahn and the new W1 restaurant on the Sunracer in the Wetterstein ski area in Ehrwald.
Of course comfort is provided by the Grubig II, a 10-passenger gondola lift with 51 heated cabins, which shortens the way from the Brettlalm to the Grubighütte in the Lermoos ski area from December. Also the 6-seater chairlift “Ganghofer” warms winter sports enthusiasts starting this season with a heated seat.
A total of 139 km of pistes are distributed in the Tyrolean Zugspitz Arena, including 93 kilometers of snow-covered pistes, and 58 cable cars. From glacier skiing on the Zugspitzplatt with guaranteed snow to the sunny pistes on the Ehrwalder Alm.
Six alpine ski schools bring the next generation of skiers fast on the boards and provide athletic and educational support. Also numerous hotels and guesthouses in the region have adjusted to the needs of families and care for their heart and soul for little guests – true Tyrolean hospitality.
Cross-country paradise at the foot of the Zugspitze
Still an insider tip for cross-country fans: In the Tyrolean Zugspitz Arena, there is a network of 20 trails over 110 kilometers on it, of skaters and classic runners alike.
