For the fanatics you can climb the Lange Jan and enjoy a beautiful view over the island of Walcheren.

This urban hotel owes this title to the sawmill company that used to live there years ago and you will find various wooden details in the rooms. As the name suggests the base of the amazing interior is wood. Many antique dealers were visited to find the perfect match for the interior Great details can be found all over the hotel: in the rooms, restaurant and reception. Don’t forget to admire the amazing eye-catcher: the remarkable wall with old cupboard doors and drawer fronts.
Rooms & citylofts
All the beautiful rooms and lofts are different. None of them are the same. They do have things in common: the luxurious materials, the fantastic view over the city and the gray, green and dark blue tones that are reflected throughout the hotel. The bathrooms, with the wonderful rain shower, beautiful glass doors, marble-look elements and mustard yellow retro tiles are a feast for the eyes.
Every detail is correct in all areas. In some rooms, a few details are also striking that you do not often encounter in a hotel. For example: a true luxury dog box spring. Or real coffee machines for a fantastic fresh coffee in the morning. And the lofts we even come across a record player, complete with great records to play!

The Green Room
The restaurant of Cityhotel Wood is called: The Green Room. So: many unprocessed, pure products as possible here and yes, that is delicious. Enjoy a delicious breakfast in The Green Room. (During the Dutch lockdown: breakfast is served in your room). This is served daily from 7:00 am to 10:30 am.
In the evening you can also enjoy a wonderful drink at the bar at Citylounge. Don’t forget to taste the homemade limoncello!
Wood & the open kitchen
During breakfast and dinner the biggest attraction is the amazing open kitchen in restaurant The Green Room. Not a small opening, but a completely integrated space in the restaurant. It’s a bold concept, but it fits perfectly with the ambiance and clean concept of this hotel. So guests really get the feeling that they are all sitting at the chef’s table. All the dishes are vegetarian and organic at Cityhotel Wood, but you can also add a piece of meat or fish to your dish. Everything is homemade and organic. Very modern and very tasty!

City center Middelburg it is. Exactly, a central location. You can easily explore Middelburg. Extra fun: the hotel has bicycles that you can rent, but walking through Middelburg is also fun. Also very nice is to book one of the amazing city walks or food walks and explore the city and the amazing restaurants and bars.
