Through the impressive entrance you enter a large, glass-covered, light atrium with various seating areas. And in the historic gardens with many palm trees you’ll find two swimming pools. Surrounded by large & beautiful terraces with sun loungers and parasols.

The 190 rooms and suites are decorated differently in a chique, Arabic and Mediterranean style. And are all equipped with airco, Wi-Fi, minibar, coffee/tea making facilities and a safe.

Also luxury bathroom with bath and separate shower, hairdryer, bathrobes and slippers. And due to the nature of the building, the furnishings and views vary from room to room. Some rooms have a balcony with amazing seaview.

The area

The hotel is right by the beach in the smart Caleta area of Malaga, a pleasant 15-minute walk – or five minutes in a taxi – from the main shopping street, Calle Larios.

Locals make good use of the seaside promenade for walking and running and there are plenty of bars and restaurants within easy reach.


The facilities

There is an outdoor pool with plenty of space for sunbeds and tables. The spa will offer a range of treatments, including hairdressing, and has an indoor relaxation pool, thermal circuit, sauna and steam room. While there is a gym, guests might prefer to exercise on the promenade or beach. Bikes are available and other outdoor and water activities can be arranged, as well as all sorts of excursions and guided visits.


Food & drinks

There is a range of attractive places to eat and drink at Gran Hotel Miramar. The Principe de Asturias restaurant, with sea views and terrace tables, is the most formal option.  The large indoor/outdoor buffet restaurant by the pool has breezy blue and white Andalucian-style décor and will offer a wide range of healthy, light and more substantial dishes. The rooftop bar has spectacular views and is an elegant setting for a cocktail.

There is an attractive and luxury buffet for breakfast with good coffee made however you like it and eggs cooked to order.

Go to the beach, swim in the pool, visit the spa (thermal circuit, Finnish sauna, hammam, ice fountain, Jacuzzi, sensations pool and relaxation area) or have a beauty treatment. You can also take a guided tour of the wine cellar in the Palace of Justice’s former prison.

Outside the hotel, the riches of Malaga city await – visit one of 40-odd museums in the city, from Picasso to the Pompidou, go shopping at Muelle Uno  or rent a bike at the reception and discover Malaga by bike!
