The Mercer Barcelona is hidden down a narrow pedestrian street in the heart of the cozy Gothic Quarter. Just a short walk from the cathedral. This luxury boutique hotel is built on to a section of the barcino walls, the ancient Roman city. Throughout the hotel you can find beautiful medieval arches and original XII century paintings.

Rooms with history
The beautiful suites with high ceilings and exposed wooden beams have large windows overlooking the Gothic Quarter or the courtyard. A free mini-bar (non-alcoholic) is a great welcome touch, as well as the Molton Brown toiletries. Ask for a room in the Roman tower for a special sense of history!
Peaceful courtyard
The heart of the building is the beautiful orange tree courtyard. This open space is enhanced by archways and balconies. A peaceful place where the delicious and fresh breakfast is served, as well as lunch or just an afternoon coffee.
Rooftop heaven
But that´s not all. There is another stunning area: the rooftop terrace with luxurious sunbeds, seating area and splunge pool. Sip on a drink while you soak up the sun and enjoy the view over Barcelona. This was definitely our favorite spot during the late afternoon!
Local cuisine
Closer to earth, a gourmet experience awaits at The Mercer restaurant. Dishes are based on the traditional Catalan cuisine and its local products. Typical Catalan recipes with an impeccable presentation accompanied by a wide selection of wines. For breakfast, lunch or informal dinner there is restaurant Le Bouchon. Here you’ll find a mix between the tradition of neighborhood bars, tapas and local specialities. Enjoy tapas and local specialities!
Mercer cocktails
If you’re looking for a finely made cocktail, head to the bar at the back of the hotel. This pretty room is surrounded by ancient stones with over 2000 years of history. Isn’t that just a unique setting to enjoy cocktails?
